The Tub Comes Upstairs

Today was a pretty big day, dear readers.
We moved the clawfoot tub upstairs.

My mom got the first turn at sitting in it since she worked so hard to make this happen and also because she's the smallest, and therefore the least likely to cause it to go crashing through the floor and into the kitchen below. Thoughtful, right?

I'll post more on Monday about plumbing it, cleaning it and the general shenanigan-ry that ensued when we tried moving it up the stairs. Until then, you can see what Maggie thinks of our new tub and also, a quick glimpse at the color by watching this video.

And don't forget to follow along on twitter for up-to-the-minute misadventures in home improvement.

  1. She looks thrilled :)

Maggie I mean. I'm sure your mom looks relieved and tired.

It looks like you did the outside matte black(ish)? Good luck with the rest of it!

  2. Thanks! Maggie just can't be bothered with this tub nonsense. That is, until she realized she could get in there and sleep.
