To Light the Way

A few days ago on a trip to the Disabled American Veterans thrift store, I found this adorable lantern. I had been lusting over something similar I saw at World Market a while back. I snatched it up with the intention of putting it on the back porch.

I didn't have a hook back there that held it far enough away from the wall. That was untill, my mom remembered one in the basement that I had taken off of the kitchen wall when we moved in.

It worked like a charm!

The lantern was $2.50 and the hook came with the house.

Not bad at all.

Just wanted to share my gift of the thrift.
Hope you guys have a great weekend full of porch sittin' and fun projects!

  3. Thanks Helene! There's nothing like the thrill of a good thrift! And that's actually my neighbor's garage! It's so cute, isn't it? We got so lucky to have a neighbor with a pretty garage since our wedding was in the backyard right next to it : )

    1. It does! Although I think I'm going to try one of those battery operated ones because it gets a little warm.
