Goodbye rusting hulk.

During the installation of the cold-air returns on the first floor we had to remove one of our old broken radiators:


























Schnitzel did a lot of the work himself; he's so helpful around the house.

This of course left us with a wall untouched for many years:


































It was part old purple paint, part old decaying wallpaper, and part cracking plaster wall.  So with a little spackle, a lot of sanding, and a little painting, we came to this result:


























Neat, right?  Now, I don't really know what to do about the holes in the floor where the pipes led down to the basement, or the marks left by the feet of the radiator, or the stained wood next to the wall, but if anyone has an idea, I'm open to suggestions.
